Bring This To Bank Of America For The $2000 Offer

When I first wrote about the Bank of America offer for the small business checking account, I provided screenshots to the offer. I had to censor some of the areas where it’s specific to a banker. What I didn’t know, was how powerful the Preview application is on the Mac. I’m not a native Mac user and have been a Windows user for an extremely long time so I wasn’t aware of this feature.

Bank Of America

The Preview app has the ability to modify PDF’s and can let you save it. I was able to put some white boxes to redact all personal information on the form and save it. Now this will benefit you because now you can print this offer out and bring it to the bank and specifically ask about this deal with your local Small Business Banker.

Here is the link on my Google Drive of the PDF of the offer.

Have fun and I hope you all earn some great cash back from opening an account, let me know how it works out!

  • I went to BofA in SF today, opened a business checking (two), a savings, alaska airlines business credit and a merchant services account. Teller confirmed the offer after calling into BofA and getting the offer code. was told business loan had to have income over 250,000$ for the business. so my calcs leave me with 1500$ bonus – 500 for checking, 500 for cc, 500 for merchant services account – whatever that is.

  • Do you have to use an EIN number to open a business account

    • I used my SS# as my business is a sole proprietorship. No documents were required.

  • Went to a NY metro branch. Business banker was aware of the offer. He was happy to sign me up. I got the Alaska card. Said I would get $500 for the account and $500 for the card. I told him I’d probably send some business his way because this offer is great. He was happy about that and game me a stack of business cards 🙂

      • Strange – I just received mail that my CC application (Alaska) was rejected. First time ever. Reason was: The type of business or service provided.

The banker entered the info himself on his computer at the branch, so maybe he selected something different.

I’ll probably apply for one of the other cards myself.

        • Usually when they say that it’s because they don’t approve of your business. What did you list as your business type? Something like an escort service they likely will not want to be affiliated with.

          • Lol. Would make for a far more interesting story if I did run an escort service. Financial Advisor. Spoke to the banker this morning – he made a call and BoA’s CC people called me. I answered questions for more than 30 mins, they tried to reject me twice, but I kept questioning why and that I’ve had business credit cards from BoA in the past, etc. Eventually they approved me with a 10k limit 🙂

          • Good on you!

  • Is it ok to bring this document to the BOA branch even though the offer code is blank in the pdf?

    • Yes it’s fine because you want to show them the flyer so that you can point them in the right direction for them to open your account

  • I opened a business credit card in the past month already, but I haven’t opened business checking yet. Does anyone think I could use that card to qualify since it’s “within 60 days”?

Note that you have to spend $2,000 on the business credit card within 60 days of opening the business checking to qualify for the bonus, and that merchant services account also requires a settled $20+ transaction to be eligible.

    • Probably best to ask a small business banker for clarification on that

  • Does anyone have the actual offer code? My local branch is having trouble tracking the code down because apparently the regional manager is on vacation and no one else can get it for some reason. My email is CrowdSavr@gmail.com, would be very much appreciated!

    • Are you working with a Small Business Banker on the offer?

      Reply
      • My understanding from the associate I was working with is that there’s no “Small Business” specialist per se in the branch, there’s a regional one (I live in a low population density area). I believe that’s the person who’s been out of the office and thus the reason they’re having trouble tracking the offer code down. The associate also called in about it, but they referred him to this person.

  • they wanted me to pay 20$/month for the mobile solution merchant services account, 500$ early termination fee if closed within 3 years. i passed on that, only going to go for the 1000$ bonus – business advantage, business cc. cant apply for business loan since banker told me i had to have had 250,000$ in income last year. anybody else run into this?

  • When does this deal expire? BOA just built their first branch in CO so I can FINALLY take advantage of BOA deals. I already have checking with them from when I lived in FL and NC.

  • Is it possible to get this deal in a neighboring state? (no branch in mine).

    • I can’t imagine why not, perhaps a call to a banker can answer this one solidly

    • Yes, I live in nv and just opened the accounts in ca.

  • No luck getting this in LA this week. I’m not sure if the small business specialist didn’t want to extend the offer to me and/or spun if bunch of BS to dissuade me from opening the account. The small business banker at my branch couldn’t find it so had to ask higher up. I got a call back from someone who handles small business at several locations and we set an appointment. She said she only gives these offers to business owners she knows well and who have been long established. If I wanted to, I could open the account but she couldn’t guarantee that I would receive the bonus once BOA reviewed the account and found that there was too little activity or something. I would have had legit activity and told her to refer to the offer terms. Anyway, I didn’t want to push it and risk her not entering that magic code if one is needed.

    Should I try another branch?

Updates on So Cal would be appreciated

    • Try a different branch. I opened the accounts in San Diego. I was told that the offer is usually for biz making over $250k but that he’d allow me to take advantage so he could get the business.

  • It’s been 2.5 months since I opened the business checking account, and now looking back over my business credit card spend, I realize that while my bills added up to just over $2,000, that included the $75 annual fee. I was short of $2,000 when looking at just purchases. I feel really foolish as it was kind of a pain getting the business checking account open. Do you think I have any chance of getting the bonus? I guess it never hurts to ask.

  • I am happy to report that the $1K bonus posted today on my account. Yippee!!! Upon repeatedly asking when I will be getting the bonus, I was told it will be 120 days after account opening. So, I opened the a/c on 7/23, so the bonus posted yesterday night and shows pending. I’m sure it will be available Mon (11/23) exactly 120 days after a/c opening date. Just wanted to share the good news. So, those who haven’t gotten this bonus yet, don’t give up yet, it’s coming….
