Barclay’s Matched US Airways 50,000 Miles Offer

As some of you may know I applied for a 40,000 mile offer straight from US Airways and found out I was able to get the 50,000 mile match along with a 10,000 anniversary miles bonus which I’ve now confirmed 3 times.

My Barclay’s US Airways Dividend Miles card statement closed on 12/17 and on 12/18 I received the 40,000 sign up bonus miles and the 10,000 extra miles to make it 50,000 miles for the sign up.

Below is the screen shot of the miles hitting my account:

This is it folks, the US Airways card is going away, and you may be lucky to also get 10,000 miles in perpetuity as long as you are in good standing with the credit card and pay your annual fee. *Note there is no guarantee about the 10,000 anniversary bonus miles as it is undocumented

  • I have two recent credit inquiries, one in July for a Citi Dividend and one on November 24 for an American Express Sky Miles card. Should I wait, or do you think Barclays would still approve me for this card?

    • This will all be dependent on the person, credit history, income, etc etc, but based on what you’ve described, it sounds like you have a solid chance of getting approved.

  • Currently the richest public offer includes a one time anniversary miles bonus so I suspect that is what you got. I haven’t seen any links to the recurring offer.

    • That’s what is described online – I’ve confirmed with the phone rep multiple times that it is every anniversary that there will be a 10k bonus

  • I had the same thing as you – I applied for the 40K + 10K just before they upped the offer, and after sending them a SM online, they gave me the extra 10K
